Chales started his baseball career in the Dominican Republic until he was picked up by the Dodgers Organization in 2002 where he pitched for the Las Vegas 51's, Ogden Raptors and L.A Dodgers organization.

When his professional playing career ended he started coaching and has been coaching for the last 15 years.

Fernando specializes in catching, hitting, and pitching instruction for Dominicana and Tiburones Baseball Training. Born in Carabobo, Venezuela, Fernando signed as a free agent with the Baltimore Orioles in 2015 and spent three years in their minor league system. He represented the his country of Venezuela once time and his state six times for different national teams during his playing career. Known for catching prowess, Fernando instructs youngsters with the current catching techniques applied at the highest levels.
